Performance Analysis and Improvement Planning
Review your business information. How far have you achieved your goals? Plan to correct problems and improve.
What Should a Business Review?
Businesses should periodically review the following matters:
A- Are they still on the right path?
B- Have they achieved the goals they defined?
Some people like to travel in a wandering fashion. They set off without choosing a destination and move from place to place. They rest wherever they can, and may not be able to maintain cleanliness and hygiene very well or eat properly, but they keep traveling.
Some businesses are also established and managed in this wandering fashion: they simply start and move forward. Clearly, we should not expect them to be in a particular place at a particular time.
When we speak of an international business, we clearly do not mean one that simply accepts whatever happens.
Keeping the Journey Toward the Goal on Track
If a business has defined a goal or goals for itself, it must continually ensure that it does not stray from the path toward them.
It must adjust its speed and its distance from the goal. If it has not reached the goal, it must identify and address the cause, even correcting the goal itself if necessary.
The business must be agile, monitoring conditions inside and outside the business and making the right decisions at the right time. It should neither give way and become discouraged at the slightest pressure nor stubbornly continue along the wrong path.
