What Are the Main Resources and Factors That Create Quality?

In previous articles, I said that business profitability depends on satisfying customers as the main stakeholders.

Customer satisfaction is achieved when you provide quality goods or products.

Now I want to explain how to achieve quality in products and services, or what the main resources and factors that create quality are.

Many resources and factors affect quality, but 4 are much more important than the others:

A- People: anyone in your business who is involved with customers or with the product or service delivered to them in some way.

Example (restaurant): the person welcoming customers, the dining-room manager, waiters, cooks, cashier, the person purchasing restaurant supplies and anyone else who plays a role in the restaurant. Are all these people equally important? Obviously not! Their influence varies according to the type of restaurant and its location. Even so, the cook seems more important than the others.

B- Raw materials: any material you use to make the product.

Example (restaurant): rice, pulses, meat, vegetables, spices and so on are raw materials.

C- Machinery, tools and equipment: any device used to make the product or provide the service.

Example (restaurant): stove, refrigerator, cooking pot, oven, knife and so on.

D- Methods and instructions: how the product is made or the service delivered, formulas and similar information.

Example (restaurant): methods for cooking different dishes, taking and delivering orders, managing the dining room and so on.

What does all this mean? Does it mean that if the quality of your products or services improves or deteriorates, one or more of the factors mentioned above must have played a part?

Do they all have the same influence? Of course not! It differs from business to business, and you need to pay more attention and care to each factor in proportion to its effect.

Question: tell me in the comments which of these 4 quality factors you think has the greatest influence in a restaurant.

Are there factors other than these 4?

Yes, such as environmental conditions, lighting, temperature, social conditions and so on.
